Behind the Song
I wrote the original “Gravity” a few months back. I struggled with this song. Wrote two different versions. Settled on one of them … but I felt there were dangly bitst that didn’t quite hang snugly together.
So I took out my shears and snipped a few diverging threads, and stiched the rest into a tighter weave.
Whereas before the song swung between the sentiment of head-over-heels love and that of impending doom, this version charts a course down the center of lovesickness.

Lyrics
I am helpless when I fall into your eyes you've got me spinning like a moon. I am reckless to be standing at your door spilling my secrets so soon. I'm caught in your gravity fallin' fast and I can't break free I'm caught in your gravity and I can't break free You say you'll miss me when you kiss me then you make me watch you walk away. I am drifting I am flailing in the void with no star to light my way. I'm caught in your gravity fallin' fast and I can't break free I'm caught in your gravity and I can't break free Is there nothing I can say, dear? To make you want to come and stay here? Maybe if I could learn to play it cool; But I always seem to play the fool; Always holding out my sweaty hands, to catch every little word you ever say. I'm caught in your gravity fallin' fast and I can't break free I'm caught in your gravity and I can't break free
